La Donna Re’s has been feeding Bedford-Stuyvesant since 2018 — a Black-owned neighborhood kitchen on Lewis Avenue where Jamaican flavor and Southern soul food share the same plate. Oxtail simmered until it falls off the bone, fried chicken with a proper crust, and the mac and cheese that turns first-timers into regulars.

It’s the kind of place Bed-Stuy runs on: warm, personal, and cooked like somebody’s watching the pot — because somebody is.
